Journal #5 - Chapters 12-15 - Perspective: scout
Sometimes I just really hate aunt Alexandra she comes unexpected and unwanted to our house. I wouldn't mind it if she came for a short time but she said she staying with us for awhile. She comes in and trying to make me a girly girl or a lady which I don't like her trying to do. And trying to make jem into more of a adult. She gets along with all the people of Maycomb and talks to them like she has known them for ever she acting like our mom which bothers me because she not. She want to get rid of Calpurnia I overheard her talking to Atticus saying she could do the things that Calpurinia does. I don't want Calpurnia to leave because we got a lot closer and I think of her more as a friend then a person who works for Atticus. Aunt Alexandra needs to go back to uncle jack and stay there we were doing just fine without her and stop trying to change every thing.
Me and Jem were arguing back and forth and started to get louder. Like always Atticus comes and breaks it up and sends us both to bed. As I was walking to my bed I stepped on something or someone I was freaked out. Jem went to see if something was there. When we looked closer to see there was a figure of someone, it was Dill there under my bed. I was waiting for like some cool story on how he got there but instead it was boring all he said was he stole money from his mom and rode a train then ran in to Maycomb. He wrote a letter home and was allowed to stay with us for one week that was such a fun and good week even with aunt Alexandra there. I was talking to Dill then all the sudden Atticus got called outside by a large group of men. They were all standing around him talking I could her them but didn't understand what they were talking about I think it was about the court case with the Tom something guy not sure though., later on that night Aticus said he was to go into town. Jem woke me up and I asked him what it was he was exactly doing. He said he was going into town to look for Atticus after a little bit of back and forth he finally said I could go. On our way into town we stopped of at Dills house and wanted to see if he wanted to go he said yes. When we got into town we saw Atticus by the jail house just standing there then multiple cars pulled up and about to men in each car got out. I didn't know what was going on so I quickly ran to him I didn't know any of the men except for Mr. Cunningham I told him to tell his son I said hi. He said he would then he told all the other guys to leave. That whole night I didn't get or understand but nothing happened to Atticus like I thought so I was glad.

You did a good job explaining how Scout feels about Aunt Alexandra. I also liked how you put at the end that she was confused, because in the book she's too young and innocent to realize what she'd done.

There is a lot of spelling and grammatical errors so next time I think you could read over your post. Other than that, I like your passage it really gives me the ability to picture what is going on.
